  1. Hello, this is a well-considered submission, and you have made the most out of the format – both the poster and the blog post – well done! It will be very helpful for you to continue working in this way. Both of your maps require a lot more captioning (focus on captioning rather than typing blocks of text). Name the location, roads, vegetation, scale, north, etc. Consider that you can add maps of different scales on a single page. Remember that each document (each poster) that you produce, is an answer to a question – so, what is the question? The answer is the poster. For the poster to be as clear as possible, the question needs to be crystal clear. Also, be mindful that not all posters need to be maps – you can incorporate different types of output in a single poster, and throughout the duration in the course, do not get ‘stuck’ producing posters like these ones (although these are successful, it will be helpful to work in different ways – the right tool to answer each question!).
For this exercise, you have created two posters – this is fine. You have to create one minimum, but you can always create more (as you have done this time). One good idea is to create a folder in your computer where you collect references for visual posters that you like, or that have an aesthetic that is suitable for the message you are conveying.
As you know, some students will come to present their work, so that you can get a better idea on how to work and improve your course output. Until March, we won’t be having 1-1 tutorials, so this feedback is very important to take onboard until then. If you have further questions about this feedback, please do not hesitate to get back in touch.
